Guest Cottage + Dinner = Great Night (off season it doesn't hurt to ask to stay 1 night!)
We've eaten at The Painted Lady a number of times over the years and always enjoy their menu and attentive staff. This time we also stayed at the guest cottage next door and it was delightful: while the cottage itself is older, the inside has nice accommodations (comfy bed, nice couch/sitting area, awesome shower water pressure). It's perfect for two people or four: the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house. Since it was the off season (and a non-holiday weekend) they were fine with us staying one night, instead of the minimum of 2 they state is required online. It was great enjoying the day, having a great dinner, and then walking about 10 feet back to the house rather than anyone getting in a car to drive somewhere.

Fine dining
This was our third dinner at Painted Lady with the previous one being almost 10 years ago. All have been outstanding. The dishes were imaginative but not over the top. The wine parings were interesting and all spot on. The service was professional yet warm and friendly. All in all, an enjoyable fine dining experience.

Wine Dinner of the Year!
From start to finish, this meal and wine pairing was a beautiful journey through Oregon and all they have to offer. Ryan is host, sommelier and server and he does all with skill and a smile. Very impressed with every dish and sip. Would fly all the way back to sit at a table in this house again and again.

Very good innovative tasting menu experience
You eat what they serve you. There is even no printed menu, only descriptions y0u get verbally when they bring the plate for you. The menu online is not updated. All dishes are excellent in all aspects; creativity, quality, and taste. Service is very friendly Ambience: very small room in old house. Max occupancy 26persons. It is stuffy, so if you have allergies, get your Allegra or Flonase before arrival. Could be a very nice romantic place with the dimmed light, if no loud groups happens to be there that night. Value. $145 pp for 8-courses meal is fairly priced. So, yes I do recommend it for a nice romantic night.

Underwhelmed
Party of 6, 3 couples eagerly excited to dine at The Painted Lady. The food was just okay. I enjoyed the pasta, and soup portion. The steak (sirloin) was inedible and everyone could not even cut the meat. Overall, we had a great because we were with great friends.
