Chef Nelia and her partner Phil have been serving up coast-to-table entrees in Tillamook for several years, and when they opened their new upscale restaurant in downtown Tillamook, the only thing better than the food is the atmosphere. With live music regularly, a concrete bar serving seasonal mixed drinks, and only the freshest and most flavorful ingredients in every dish, Pacific Restaurant is a favorite for locals and out-of-towners.

Fabulous dinner!
We had a fabulous dinner here last night. Admittedly, there was quite a long wait - 23 minutes - to get started after we were seated. But once things got going, wow, what a dinner. We started with the chowder which was good, nothing special, the crispy calamari was perfect. Then two of us ordered the surf and turf and someone else, the seafood linguini. The surf and turf was out of this world - something like flank steak with melt in your mouth pasta and a full crab with each meal, cooked perfectly. Way more than we could eat but the leftovers were great. The linguini was cooked perfectly and heavenly to eat. We've been here before and it's hit and miss in the past but this time was definitely a hit. The wait to be served once seated is due to staffing issues, which is, of course, a problem in so many places. But so glad we stayed for a fabulous dinner. Wow!

Disappointing experience (s)!
We wanted Pacific to be awesome so badly! We are in town a lot and there are simply very few places to get even close to a fine dining experience of any kind. FOUR TIMES we gave Pacific Restaurant a chance. We we're so hopeful it would be great despite what we'd heard. We sat at the bar every time and had their "only bartender," each visit. Honestly we've never had worse service in our lives. All four times we would watch as people walked out because she would never greet their table. On our third visit it took over 45 minutes to get water and our french fries came out 20 minutes before our cocktails (which were terrible and any polished bartender would know how to make ). There is zero effort or hustle and when she forgets what we ordered and gives us a different item then asked for, she simply brushes it off saying she's very "busy." She walks in circles and acts like she's doing you a favor by waiting on you. You may be asking why we tried again for a fourth time? We both understand the service industry and wanted to keep an open mind. Our last visit, it seemed quieter than usual. We didn't have a reservation, so fair enough, we sat at the bar again but did let the hostess know we've had issues with the bartenders service. We hoped she would pass it on and maybe this time, she or someone else would notice. Nope! We sat up there ready to give her another chance but she never even said hello in over 20 minutes. We ending up walking out this time and no one seemed to care or even realize. It is absolutely unacceptable that this is ok! These things start at the top and judging from other reviews and the owner's responses, no one thinks or understands there's an issue. It feels like an utter waste of a good space, with great food vision... to go out of your way to care this little. We felt obligated to write a review about this in hopes that someone will care enough to make changes in a positive direction...because it could be awesome!

They can do better
Bartender couldnt keep up with small crowd. Needs mixology training. Service was soooo slow. I have had good meals here in the past, but not a good experience in the bar tonight. Need someone managing front of the house. We saw many potential customers leave after wating to be greeted. This place can do better.

Delicious lunch
Food was delicious. BLTA and Salmon Salad were both really good. Get the fries, they were perfect. Yum! Latte was tasty too.

Needs improvement
Just ok .. ordering is always complicated.. they seem to be on a different wavelength. For lunch ..avocado sandwich was good .. clam chowder was way too thick .. not very good..restaurant could be great with some improvement.
