    Excellent Meal in the Woods

This is a nice place off the beaten path, with friendly staff and very good food. The expectation is for you to stay a while and enjoy your meal with drinks. Leisurely paced so you can enjoy the dining experience. My food was well prepared and presented. I enjoyed dining here. Nice relaxed atmosphere.

    Creative Interpretation Of Old Favorites

We enjoyed one of their 'private Sunday dinners'; a four course meal. All of the courses were good, but none of them were best of class. We ordered Filet Mignon medium rare but it arrived medium. One serving of lobster was slightly over cooked and stringy. For $50/person for small portions we expected better from a rural restaurant in Oregon. The wine prices were about regular retail rather than the 4x retail that most restaurants charge. Many of the wines were small local wineries with little or no retail distribution. The La Randonne Sav Balnc was a real treat @ $30 since the wine is $22 retail which would be $88 at most restaurants. The Pinot Noir was a few dollars below retail. To be fair, at the end of the dinner many of the dinners cheered and applauded the chef when he came in and thanked every one. Obviously he has a loyal and appreciative following. We will go back to sample the bakery which is co-located with the restaurant.

    Enjoyed Family Dinner Here!

I reviewed them on my first time a couple weeks ago and it was "ok-kind of" but they must have been having a bad night because this time was GREAT! The salad was good with great blue cheese dressing. The buffalo burgers are really good and you can add all the fixin's you want. Pizza and calzone good. The birthday dessert my hubby had was very good. The service was good and the youngest member just said "I'm hungry" and she arrived with his burger!
