Disappointing seafood and service
This looks like a typical seaside fish shack, with the wooden building and picnic tables. The place where you sit for a couple of hours with your friends enjoying a bucket of beer and fresh-as seafood. That would work well, but I was disappointed by the food and the service. For one, the fried clams I had were overooked to the point of being breaded rubber bands. Not good, although there were a lot of them. The accompanying fries were really good and fresh, though. Also their cocktail sauce helped the clams taste better. And it was not what I would call inexpensive for this either. Maybe because I was in an outisde area with only 1 other table occupied, I didn't get much service. They took my order, tossed the basket of food down and left, never to be seen again. I had a difficult time finding sombody even to ask for my check. Another item to note is the parking, or lack of it. There is some on-street parking behind the restaurant. That's about it. Nowhere near sufficient spaces given the capacity of the place.

Don't miss these fish and chips
This turned out to be some of the best fish and chips ever! We both had the halibut and the portions were substantial. Even the steak fries were great. Don't expect ambiance. The seating is picnic tables.

Good, not spectacular, but satisfying
Coming from the mountain west, fresh seafood was a high priority. So when we sat down at a picnic table under the (rather pleasant) outside shelter, we went a little wild. The $23 crab cakes appetizer plus fish & chips and fish tacos. And… it was good. Not “wow”. The fried foods are lovely to look at, light and crisp. The crab cakes had a delightful texture, reminiscent of my grandmother’s east coast style made with Durkee’s dressing. The fish tacos had a mix of grilled fish (tuna, white fish, salmon) , though none were identifiable from the other. Steak fries were very crispy, with a seasoned salt. Coleslaw seemed tired. The fried fish was perhaps the standout, with excellent texture and taste. Service is fine, with different servers always checking on you. Not inexpensive, as the atmosphere might suggest, but everything costs a bundle these days.

Love Luna Sea
We love Luna Sea!! This visit we had Leigh as our server - great gal and so fun to interact with. We bought a couple of shirts and after trying them on, needed a different size. Next day we returned and a guy (very helpful) let us get another size - love the shirt material. My hubby thinks their clam chowder is the best - as I can't have any shellfish, I usually opt for tacos which are great also but this time had 1/2 order of Fish and Chips - Yummo. Thanks to the great staff!!

Good stop on Hwy 101
Right before the bridge leaving Yachats is this small seafood restaurant. There was no inside seating, but the day was pleasant so I didn’t mind sitting outside at the picnic tables. On a cool day this would have been a game changer as I don’t like to be cold. The service was quick and friendly. The fried fish and chips were good, the grilled halibut was good, but unremarkable. A positive for me was they did offer half orders, for half the price of a full order plus $3. All-in-all it was a good choice.
