During the day – a butcher shop offering the finest fresh, all natural meats, sausages made in house and artisanal charcuterie. Sandwiches made to order with our house cured meats – smoked ham, rare roast beef, oven roasted turkey and smoked pastrami. Pates, rillettes, duck confit and all of the needs of the home chef.

At night – the restaurant. Think steakhouse, then break out of the box. Steak Frites, with housemade French fries. Handmade pastas. French onion soup. A restaurant with the finest in house larder in the city. Hand selected produce from the Willamette Valley’s most talented and dedicated farmers. Fresh local seafood, grilled to order on a cedar plank.

Is there a fly in your soup?

DO NOT eat here unless you consider flies a delicacy as they prance across your food. I went last night with my daughter for my birthday and as soon as the food landed on the table so did the flies. We spent half our meal swatting at them, but eventually I have up because I just can’t make myself eat food that has been shared with a fly that probably walked across something pretty disgusting earlier. The waitress seemed annoyed that I wasn’t excited about my experience and simply said she would take the food away. I went away hungry on my way to a concert and paid for an expensive meal that I couldn’t eat. The manager’s response was “it happens, sorry you weren’t satisfied”. That’s it, no offer of help. I guess they should just add steak with a side of flies to their menu, because that’s what you’re going to pay for. Disgusting food and behavior.

Amazing food in relaxed atmosphere

One of the best tartar steaks we’ve tried in a long while, and we try it in every country we visit, on every continent… Smoked bone marrow was a winner too - delicate and flavorful, Filet Mignon was perfectly “medium rare”, as requested. All in all - outstanding experience, highly recommend.

I highly recommend LM. We had a wonderful experience there last week. My wife had the Crowley Chardonnay, daughter and her friend had Txakolina, some kind of orange wine and I went through two glasses of Cabernet Franc. All quite pleased. We shared a small Charcuterie Board which had quite a variety, including Venison Pate, Wild Boar Pate, house made German Bologna, Soppressata (?), Mortadella, a cherry Mostarda, and Crostini. Entrees, wife: Steak & Greens, daughter: double cut pork chop, friend: Hamburger, me: Steak Frites. It was all wonderful, Steak was very tender, pork chops the most tender we've ever had (brined overnight). Steak frites had the biggest pile of fries I've every seen. Ate my fill and split the leftovers 3 ways the next day. We shared a Chocolate Caramel Mousse between the four of us and it was insane. Yikes what a tasty dessert.

Enjoyed our sandwiches and I really liked that you could order a half size since I can never finish a whole one. Also, their fries were really crispy and delicious. Not a fan of ordering at the counter and bussing your own table - especially if you are asking me to tip. I would go back again for lunch.
