The Dalles was Todd Carpenter and Carla McQuade last stop. They fell in love with The Dalles while visiting and decided this was the place they would semi-retire. They purchased a historic home and planned their departure from the daily grind. The Dalles has become their new home, and they decided to invest in this historic place and do their part to rebuild the downtown area and preserve the historic significance of The Dalles by opening Last Stop Saloon.

Visit Last Stop Saloon and enjoy the open space, the back patio, and an ice cold draft from one of the 20 plus selections of local craft beers. Take your time here to discover The Dalles with all it has to offer. It’s a unique place with 300 days of sunshine and an amazing history that contributed significantly to the establishment of the Western United States and Oregon.

Good Fibre option when passing through

Live music on a Thursday night. Decent food and cocktail options. Much more lively than the other options in the area. Good option.

If you don't plan on waiting for your table don't give them your phone number

So we made a reservation in person for 5. The lady told us it would be approximately 45 minutes and took our phone number. After an hour one of us wanted to walk into the establishment and asked what was going on. We agreed to wait for approximately 15 or 30 minutes longer for the phone call that we were promised. After an hour and a half approximately. We decided to walk in. There we were told that we were still going to have to wait. While we were waiting we looked at the reservation list and realized that five tables of five people we're Let It Go in front of us. Without a phone call. At that point I made a little fuss about it. And the owner decided to kick me out. I'm sorry that we are not little hamsters that can sit around and wait for our table. If we put in a reservation at least give us a call. I would never go there again. The owner was unprofessional. I'm not sure how they can stay in business talkin people like that. Give them a chance but only if you want to get disappointed

Breakfast

I have been here for dinner and the food and service is great., I finally decided to try breakfast and it was not the same experience the server seemed like she had rolled out of bed. and the restaurant was ice cold. Everyone had their jackets on.

nice new space in the dalles. hope they open the hotel soon. good options for draft beer and menu selection. need to add more fries though.

Terrific Waitstaff. Terrible Breakfast.

We have been there twice for lunch, the Caesar Salad with grilled prawns is excellent. The Hot Wings are made fresh, and are very good. The waitstaff is perfect. We decided to try it for breakfast.HUGE mistake. My partner had a vegetarian omelette. The Swiss cheese was the taste and consistency of construction adhesive. It was over-cooked by five minutes. Let's talk about the chicken-fried steak. I have had that dish in 20 states. It is my favorite. Here, the meat tasted like fried dog food. It was as tough as leather, tasted horrible, and was filled with chunks of gristle. The sausage gravy was canned garbage. The hash browns tasted like spoiled Vegalene. It is the restaurant Manager's job to try every dish on their menu. If they tried this, and approved it, they should be fired immediately. We might be back for lunch, because the service is so good, but maybe not. I still have a stomach ache the next day.
