Diverse Cafeteria with Quick Bites, Good Food and Service
We were looking for good place to grab a bit to eat in Hood River while we were out for a weekend drive. This kitchen did not disappoint! This is a cafeteria style restaurant and bar. The service was excellent. The host did an excellent job of explaining the menu, how we had to order at the counter, and offered his opinion and details when we asked questions about ingredients. There was no waiting when we arrived around 3:30 on Sunday. We ordered the queso fundido - which was very flavorful and tasty. (Make sure to eat it relatively quickly, before the cheese cools.) For our lunch, we both ordered the Kickstand Cheeseburger. They were great. Good flavor, food was put together well, and it received our stamps of approval. Yummy! There's plenty to choose from on this small, but diverse menu. A little American, Mexican, and mix up. Drinks and the ambiance were the same. Food was well priced for the quality and flavor. We will be back!!

Cool lunch stop
Got to town and wanted something light and different for lunch. Arrived right at noon, no wait. I had the ahi poke bowl and the wife had the fish tacos. Both delicious. They even had a nice local stout on tap. Cool place for lunch. Prices not bad either.

Delicious Breakfast and Coffee!
Over the top flavor, breakfast Barbacoa burrito bowl was the best ever! We were in Hood River for 3 days, and ate 3 breakfasts at the Kickstand. Weekend service was outstanding, friendly, fast and I will definitely return!

Nice lil gem in an awesome lil town.
Great busy place in an awesome little town along the Columbia River off I84 on the way to Mt Hood. It's a bike shop with a restaurant attached. Great food and service with indoor and outdoor seating. Craft beer on tap.
