We won’t be going back
My mom, my youngest son, and I came in for dinner tonight. When we were seated, we noticed a dirty cup ring on the table and asked our server if it could be wiped. She said yes, but walked away and didn’t return for about 10 minutes. When she came back, I asked again if the table could be cleaned so my mom wouldn’t put her jacket in it, and also requested a kids menu. She huffed, wiped the table, handed us the menu, and walked away. Another 5–8 minutes went by without any greeting or drink order being taken. A second server (with long hair, who said she was the GM’s daughter) came to ask if she could get us something to drink. We ordered two waters and a root beer. She then asked the original server to take our food order. When the server came to the table, she didn’t greet us or say anything—just stood there. I finally spoke and suggested she start with, “Hi, what can I get started for you today?” and we placed our order. The food came out incorrectly at first (brown gravy instead of white), but it was fixed and that part was fine. While we were eating, my son needed a root beer refill. I placed the empty cup at the edge of the table, but the server ignored it. After waiting about five minutes, I went to the counter to ask for a refill. Only then did she come up and ask what I needed. I asked her for a refill and requested to speak with the manager. Another employee went to get him. I explained what had happened and told him this would be our last visit. He didn’t seem overly concerned. I understand being short-staffed, but this level of disregard for guests is unacceptable. When he asked what I would like to see done, I said additional training for the server. He didn’t even offer a free meal which I was expecting after the way we were treated, or heck even just take care of the whole bill. It was only $28. The food here is amazing, but due to the service we experienced tonight, we will not be returning.

Two of the best meals
This place is amazing! I would say that they have the best chef in all of yamhill county, maybe the northwest! A must if you are in the Willamette valley

Good meal after a slow start
My wife and I walked in about 7pm on a Wednesday night, to a nearly empty restaurant. We were told our server would be by in a few minutes, but after waiting about 10 minutes, I had to walk over to the Assistant Manager to ask for help. He was very understanding and comped us our glasses of wine. After that, service by Amber was ok. My wife had the meatloaf dinner, which was very large, and pretty good. I had the chicken Santa Fe, served with a vegetable soup appetizer. The soup was very good, with plenty of vegetables and was not too salty. The entree was very large and was served with a baked potato and vegetables. I enjoyed the entree. With the comped wine, dinner was very reasonable, about $45 with tip.

A Classic
J’s is a good old fashioned restaurant that serves the classics. Very generous portions and cooked to perfection. Pancakes are tasty and the peppered bacon is a great option.

Great place for dinner
My wife and I, and our son and his wife ate here on 9/2/23. We arrived at 7pm and were immediately seated. Our server, Beverly, was very cheerful and attentive. We had the meatloaf, Fish & Chips, Bay Shrimp Salad and Chicken Fajita Salad entrees. I had the Fish & Chips and it was great. Nobody in our group complained about anything that I am aware of and everyone enjoyed their meal. We also had pieces of Chocolate Silk, Chocolate PB and Pecan pies. I sampled them all while primarily eating the Chocolate Silk which was exactly what a chocolate silk should be in texture and taste. The Pecan pie could have used a little bit more filling for my personal tastes, which is my typical complaint every time, but it was very good.
