They used to be good and we loved the place in the past. However, their price hikes are ridiculous, not only price getting higher but portions are getting smaller. Quality of food is terrible. They must have bought from lower quality suppliers. Ordered steak fajitas, half of the steaks are unchewable, A simple burritos combo cost $18, yikes!
Worst service and Mexican food I’ve ever had. The tortilla soup was basically warm water and chicken. The enchiladas had bland sauce. The service was terrible. We waited for our waitress 10 minutes.
A beautiful website with great photos of their food. A nice building done in a classic Mexican hacienda style. Impressive furnishings. All of which led us to expect so much better. 1. The food came quickly, but the flavor was just... Okay. Not bad, but really not great. 2. Even though there were several servers working, because we were seated in the same section as the group of 14, we spent a lot of time waiting while our server tended to them, even though we had asked to be seated in a less busy area. 3. When the check came, even though the special of the night, 3 Enchiladas for $14.25, had been charged at the regular price of $15.50. And, a glass of plain soda water from the bar fountain was $3.25, while a single shot of Cuervo tequila (a pretty basic brand) was $9.95, and a gin martini was $11.95. Over all, a total of $62.50 for two very basic dinners and modest drinks. We're regular visitors to Hood River, but we won't be regular customers at Ixtapa restaurant.
This place is pretty good! You are able to bring your pup and sit outside on the patio. Would definitely revisit!
Really so gross!! We all ordered enchiladas and the corn tortillas tasted like they weren’t cooked. My daughter ate very little of her dinner and the waitress didn’t even question why. I would never go back. The lemonades were $4.50, pretty expensive. Just gross! I would avoid!
