Vacation in Neskowin
We arrived in Neskowin after a day of travel. We were hungry but didn't want to look around for a restaurant. We called the Hawk Creek Cafe and ordered four pizzas for our large group. They were very accommodating. They were ready right away and were very good! Thank you Hawk Creek Cafe!! Someday we will be back!

This is an amazing place. The food is excellent. The service is fantastic. Blake is great. The prices are reasonable.
The setting is beautiful. The music is soft and cozy folk rock. I had the fried prawns. My wife had the Brussels sprouts. We both had big bowls of delicious clam chowder and it was the best we have had anywhere. I mean it. The best. It’s the only place near Neskawin, so the prices are a bit above average, but well worth it. Our server was Blake. She took good care of us, checking in regularly to make sure we were happy. Put this place on your bucket list for the West Coast.

Disappointed - Meal not up to par
Had been here a few years ago and was very pleased. This visit however, I was disappointed as the food wasn't up to par. We had fish & chips. The fish pieces were very thin and wasn't worth the price.

Good Food, but Overpriced
We came here early, at 4:00 p.m., to avoid the crowds. The place was empty, so needless to say, the service was good. For some reason, they had raised their prices since I was there in June. Overall, the food was good, but not stellar, and certainly not worth the price. The burger and fries I had were good, but not $21.00 good. If I wanted to spend that much money on a burger, I would go 15 minutes up the highway to Pelican Brewery. My brother and nephew split a pepperoni pizza. These are fire-roasted, but they came out fast. They said it was good, but certainly not $33.00 good. There aren't many choices to eat in Neskowin, so they kind of have a monopoly on where you can eat. In summary, the food and service were good, but way overpriced for what you get. They do let you sit outside on the porch with a calm dog, and they have picnic tables outside as well - mainly for the people who buy ice-cream from their truck. Yes, the ice cream is overpriced as well, but it's the only game in town.

Good Food, Service and Prices
In spite of being one of the few restaurants in Neskowin, this cafe is quite decent. The food was great and the fire-cooked pizzas looked great. Amazingly, the prices weren't too bad - around $20 a person. The service was good, but it took a bit longer to get our food than at most places (and we were there just before 5:00 p.m. on a weekday). Parking is limited, but there's a public lot for the beach just across the street. They do allow leashed dogs in with the diner's, but I suspect that's outside on the patio. It looked like they did a bustling take-out business as well, probably because they are so close to the hotel. Overall, the food was very good and the the prices were decent for a tourist location on the coast. We'll have to try the fire-roasted pizza the next time we are here.
