Find f a Mediterranean restaurant isn’t something you find in every town. This little place is great for a short escape to another world. Great food and nice atmosphere. Their lamb is good, tender and spiced nicely. Try this place at least once next time you’re in Newport, Or.
We Really Wanted to Like This Place, but...... the atmosphere after dark is literally "nothing" and the lighting is way too bright with white LEDs you'd find in a garage. There's nothing but mismatched booth colors and awful plants for decoration. The service was good and the waitress was nice but the gyros we had, while decent, were not as tasty as many we've had recently.
Great food and tasty … The people that work there are so nice and ask us if we would like a water while we waited for our takeout food we just ordered …
Ordered two Greek salads; one plain, the other with beef. THe primary reason I order a Greek salad is for the Kalamata olives. There was not a hint of olives on either salad. In addition, the lettuce could have been much crisper, i.e. fresher. I will not return.
Food was good, but seemed very over priced (even for a coast town)... especially the platters. Service.was ok...seemed short staffed, like everywhere else, but we had everything we needed. I'd go back to grab a gyro to go for lunch sometime, but wouldn't spend the money for a platter again... definitely not worth it.
