Great little neighborhood spot. Boasts "best reuben on the planet" and they aren't exaggerating! My husband tried it and highly recommends! I had the hot turkey sandwich which was excellent. Friendly service from their seasoned waitstaff. Would definitely visit again.
Have known about this place for decades but ate there for the first time. It was busy and noisy and festive, but the food was mediocre. Probably an entertaining place to hang out, but it was too busy to linger.
Heard this was the place for great bar food and incredible Reubens. I’d never had a Reuben before and I’m glad that this was the place to try my first one because it was absolutely delicious! Also had a quinoa and beet salad that was incredible.
I have had a huge number of Reubens all in the search for the best of the best. After having GH Reuben, I've decided that the search has ended but cannot give it the #1 rating...it's among the very best - top five on my planet. As for GH itself, I rate it 3 for the crappy parking, in such a busy neighborhood. I guess it comes with the territory. Our server was friendly and attentive, decor is old/comfy. Host is unininspring. Many other places to try...moving along.
Quaint neighbourhood historic family restaurant not far from the waterfront SW Portland region. Excellent in all way, decor, service, drinks, food and price!!
