This place is amazing. It looks like a bit of a dive bar but the food is absolutely delicious. Service is so friendly . The clam chowder is by far the best I have ever had and im a chef I have tasted many. If ever in Garibaldi Oregon take the time to stop for a bite at this coastal gem. You will happy you did.

Good Option
We ran into the local Chamber Leader as we were looking for options after 8:00 during the off season. He suggested HL&S for the chicken. I had the chowder and it was great. Also enjoyed the tuna melt with local canned tuna.

Good lunch
This is sort of a glorified "dive bar" - nothing fancy. Folks were friendly, the beer was cold, and our lunch was very good. I had the Chicken Katsu sandwich with Hawaiian Pork & Cabbage soup. I quite enjoyed the sandwich; the soup was really delicious. My partner had the French Dip with fries which he said was quite good just not outstanding. Prices were reasonable and the restrooms, although ancient, were clean :-)

Hawaiian buffet on the 1st Friday in the summer
Authentic Hawaiian food served on the 1st Friday of every month during the summer. Also great broasted chicken every day!
