Food is first class
I greatly regret not going here years earlier, though we had to wait for a table, it was well worth it. Everything was cooked to perfection and of the best quality. Try their prime rib!

Good honest food
After reading the bad reviews about this place I have to say a few things. If you want a 5 star restaurant don't come here. This place is not fancy. its dated. Don't expect it to be something it is not. No foo foo drinks. No fancy place settings. No parsley on the plate or other unnecessary garnishes. Just a place where you can fill up and hit the skies. This is a place where hungry people come to eat that want a good tasting filling meal. Think of it as a "truck stop" for pilots. You go in thinking like that and you are going to get exactly what you expected. Good honest food that fills you up and keeps you going, We were told about this place by the guys over at the Lacey Lady. And we WILL be returning to eat here again.

The BISCUIT!
Hubby and I have been in Salem for 9 years and never visited the Flight Deck...Salem is not known for having many good breakfast restaurants, sadly..so first timers there. Of course, the glass wall overlooking the tiny airport is part of the experience. The service (Ashley H.) was very friendly and cheerful...always appreciate the cheerfulness in breakfast dining...We had the chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. I recommend the LITE portion - it is gargantuan! But, for me the BISCUIT was over the moon....it's mini-loaf-bread-sized! and good! Hubby and I brought half of all of our plate home with enough for another breakfast...I told hubby to bring me biscuits from Flight Deck for my birthdays instead of cake...we will return -

Cool retro site!
What a fun idea! It’s located right on the edge of Salem’s municipal airport so you can watch pilot’s do preflight checks and planes take off and land. Holiday drinks were amazing and food was yummy. Husband loved the clam chowder. Service was warm and friendly.

Comfort food
Good dinner with friends who came back even though their first experience wasn’t good. I like the Caesar salad with chicken. They chop the lettuce in small pieces which is nice. Husband had prime rib which was fine. Fish and chips were fine. #salemoregon#comfortfood#airportrestaurant
