I had Uber driver pick it up. I asked the driver to ask for extra sauce for the chips. They said no 🤷 food got here cold and no chips at all. It was a shredded beef taco salad. WTF

El Sol has the best Mexican food around (and we’ve tried them all). The owner and staff are very friendly, thoughtful and capable. We’ve been going there for 21 years, and it is consistently great. The menu is large and varied, there’s a full bar, and the decor makes us feel like we’re in Mexico. Try it - you won’t be sorry!

This restaurant was recommended by the staff at the nearby Econo Lodge. We were glad to be able to walk there after a long day's drive. I had a chimichanga that was delicious, and my husband enjoyed his vegetarian choice. The service was friendly, and the typical Mexican-style decor was great. The "sports bar" was located just off the dining room and fans were watching an important soccer game, however it did not interfere with the dining room experience. There was a case holding many varied athletic trophies....it appears the establishment is a supporter of the University's sports teams. I would eat here again when in Corvallis.

This was close to our hotel, the food was average and expensive. The carne asada was thin but flavorful and they skimped on the rice and beans I feel like they could have gave us more. My husband loved his lengua tacos. The chips and salsa were just ok. When we paid I didn’t like that the server picked up the bill and looked at the tip before we could leave. I wouldn’t come back.

Good American-Mexican Food
We used to come here all the time back when we lived in the area. Stopped by again for lunch on our way through Corvallis and it hasn't changed much. Still good food, reasonable price, and grumpy service. You only get one basket of chips now (additional baskets cost extra), which is a bummer because one doesn't go very far between a group of people.
