Driftwood Restaurant and Lounge has been serving Cannon Beach since 1944. This favorite is an institution for area residents and a wonderful find for visitors. It is a warm, casual restaurant, which we’ve recently embellished with a large outdoor fire-pit that overlooks the action on Main Street.

Great casual and comfortable restaurant
This is a place for both regulars and people visiting (tourists) it is very comfortable and has an old feel much like The Hitching Post from the movie Sideways. I had the Halibut with rice pilaf for the sauce. My wife had the petite filet which was very flavorful and we had blue cheese salad and clam chowder all of which were very good. Just a very friendly place with great service.

Nice dining experience
Active, busy restaurant, but no wait to be seated, wife had pasta primavera, very tasty dish and I had a great burger with really nice onion rings, great service with helpful, attentive, knowledgeable staffers.

Enjoyable dinner!!
Reservations ready on time, great staff, attended to you immediately throughout your meal. Both of our dinners were great. The grilled coho salmon I ordered was some of the best I’ve ever had, loved it to the last bite. The restaurant appears to be a well oiled machine ! Keep up the great work, and please complement the cooks, as they are doing a great job… was there on the evening of 10/16. Thanks for an enjoyable dinner.

Great Lunch and Dinner Food
We have had many meals here and they are always great. The staff is friendly, and service is quick and good. The shrimp Louis and Oysters Rockefeller are always good for lunch or dinner. Other menu items are also tasty.

Gf
This is a very busy place in downtown Cannon Beach. There is a public parking lot behind the restaurant, but it was full. We did find street parking . The wait was about 30 minutes and they text you when the table is ready, so you can walk around until then. Our server was friendly and efficient. The food was ready quickly. We had a small order of fish and chips. I appreciated them offering a 3 or 5 piece ( 3 piece was $21.95). Also we had the baked halibut ($37.95). Both were cooked well. My only issue was the platting of the fish & chips. It was served in a salad-type bowl. It was difficult to cut the fish without ending up with food on the table. Other than that the food and service was very good.
