To much, for to little.
This used to be one of our favorite places to eat. Unfortunately the costs have increased and portion size has changed I would rather spend the money at a nice restaurant and get a nicer meal for the same or less money. Sorry but you guys are just not the value you were. If you had not reduced your portion size I could understand the increase cost but I dislike shrink inflation when it’s combined with inflation

Usually A Solid Option
We were thankful the Beachcomber was open on Wednesday's as many other eating establishments aren't. We sat outside with our pooch and ordered chowders and beers. Both didn't disappoint. 20-some (mostly craft) brews to choose from. Flavorful chowder with plentiful clams.

Meh
Our server was amazing! Lots of beer on tap, not enough lagers, actually zero lagers to choose from. I’m not a grapefruit,l or bumbleberry beer guy. “Award winning” clam chowder was very average. The outdoor seating was in the shade anytime past 1:00pm I’m assuming most available beers on tap in town but other that…..meh.

My go to place in Florence.
I love a good dive bar… and the Beachcomber is way better than just good. Decent beer and wine list. Nice selection of menu options…but nothing crazy. But then go ahead and order and wow… the portions are huge! I ordered the special of rockfish fish and chips… and was totally unable to finish it. Three huge filets atop a plate of fries… enough for three normal folks, or maybe two of your feral in-laws. And yes, it was delicious. I’m not in Florence often, but even I am this is my go-to place.
