Windy Acres Dairy Farm was purchased in 1994 as a hobby farm. The owners turned it into an operational Grade A dairy in 2003 and milked their first cows in the parlor Oct. 31st. They started with 44 cows. By 2005 they were up to 60 heads in the parlor and 20 heifers being raised to come into the parlor at some point. Because the cost and work was outweighing the income they unfortunately sold the bulk of the herd in June, 2005. he farm started raising calves and milking only 7 cows. Windy Acres is currently raising pigs, lamb and calves for the food chain of natural meat as well as chickens for meat and eggs. Seasonally, they have blueberries and honey available.
