One of my favorites!
The people are my favorite, the breakfast sandwiches are on point! I have been going for years, but I travel often. Sometimes I’m gone for 3 months at a time. They STILL remember my order every time. Great coffee!

In need of some elbow grease ...
First let me say that the woman who waited upon me when I went in for some tea and breakfast was super friendly. More than that, it is the kind of place where they say hello to the regulars by name as they walk in the door -- but given that kind of "neighborhood" following, I didn't feel excluded, either. The counter friendliness was evenly distributed for strangers and familiar faces! Having said that ... my tea was served in a big cup -- in such a way that it gets cold fast. (No pots of tea?) And the baked good was O.K., but nothing to write home about. If they were going to work on one thing ... it would be to do a bit more cleaning. The door leading to the bathroom is covered in marks from hundreds of people who came before me ... and the bathroom itself looked like a room you'd see in a slasher film. Scary! Overall, do some "deep cleaning" gang ... and maybe the inside of the cafe could use a fresh coat of paint?!? I arrived at around 8 in the a.m., and a hour later, the cafe started to fill. They have an extensive breakfast, brunch and lunch menu -- but they're not cheap! And finally ... they have a kid's area, and several locals were making use of it when I was there.
