Strange reception
My husband and I were looking forward to having a beer and lunch at pFriem on our way to Portland. We were told a 25 minute wait for a table, and while we waited they said grab a beer at the back bar and you can wait there for your table. The back bar did not allow us to sit, they said those seats were for the "wait staff". The bar tender was rude and the manager made it evident we were not welcome. We left after this encounter, and were totally surprised per all the positive reviews. Maybe a bad day? Anyone else experience this treatment? It was Friday, April 29th @ 2:00 pm.

Great beer and food!
Pfriem makes excellent beer, including Belgian style brews that are a favorite of ours. The mussels & frites are always a nice treat, and the simple salad was just that - simple, fresh, and dressed perfectly. The service is friendly and the ambience is nice. On the weekends and in high season, be ready for a bit of a wait for a table! You can leave your number and go for a walk, or a drink nearby, while you wait. It's worth the wait.

Wide Assortment of Beer, what we had was very good..
Had the Bratwurst sandwich, wife had chicken salad sandwich, both had fries. Everything was excellent!! Service was attentive and timely without being obnoxious of course they were/are suffering from shortage of service but, just order more beer.

Beers are five star - customer service and experience kind of odd
I really enjoyed the beers here. We tried several options and loved them all. Kudo's to the master brewer. The rest of the experience is weird. I am hoping it is the COVID policies they are following and not how they operate all the time. The host station is outside. Waiting for a table is outside too. If you want a beer while you wait, you have to order it through the open window and drink it in the little gated area. If you go inside the taproom, you are asked to go back outside. While I did not have a dog with us, I can believe they would ask me to tie it up outside without a second thought. We sat at the bar. The servers were nice and great with letting us sample beers before we ordered our drinks. The food was okay. I had the pimento cheese burger. My friends shared the bratwurst plate. I am pretty sure I would not come back here. The experience is not worth it.

Great brew pub on the Columbia
Had lunch at pFriem with a couple of great beers. Had the olive plate as an appetizer with the Chorizo and Chicken pasta salad. The staff is great and so is the setting.
