We’ve driven by the hotel for more than 40 years. But never stopped by. So glad we did. The staff was great. The rooms are spacious and comfortably vintage with great views of the Columbia Gorge. Food was really good. The elevator was great too.

Great Stay for our Anniversary!
Very nice room and grounds. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The dinner in the restaurant was super.

The room was small but had a great view of the river. The fireplace was nice and easy to use. The elevator was an adventure and needed hotel staff to run it every time. The only real complaint is that the toilet was having an issue flushing and after 2-3 maintenance trips to fix it, it still didn't work reliably. It won't be tough to fix, but it didn't get done during the stay.

Gorgeous backdrop with the river and mountains! Breakfast was very good! The grounds of the hotel are really nice as well. The hotel is also right off the interstate and if you are on the front side of the hotel the road noise is noticeable. Bed wasn't the most comfortable, so didn't get the best sleep. I think the biggest issue is all the cobwebs, both in the room and general spaces around the hotel. I get that it is an old, historic building, but don't need the extra "decor" of cobwebs to promote that. Would be nice to have a fitness center in addition to the spa as well.

A lovely time for our 26th anniversary
Our room, 219, was lovely! We had views of the waterfall (and could hear it as well!) and the gorge. It was also quiet even though there were weddings going on 2 of the 3 nights we stayed—and the party music was loud elsewhere! The grounds are gorgeous. The food was delicious at breakfast. Everyone was helpful and pleasant. Perfect location to explore Mt Hood as well as more waterfalls and the gorge.
