The Patrick and Jane Hughes house was built in 1898. This is a Queen-Ann Victorian style house and is now a museum. This museum is open from April to October and is full of the Hughes family history. Just down the road is a pioneer cemetery and the Cape Blanco State park.

The Hughes house was added to the National Register of Historic Places, NRHP, on November 28, 1980. The inside of the house is decorated in a Victorian style.
