Small town museum
Museum was a 3. Nicely done, small, small town museum. Display we went for, Nordic skiing, was under construction. (Dirt bikes, the currant display, not our thing.) Local history of “Spanish” flu compared to COVID was interesting. Go if you like history and have time.

Nice museum -20th century artifacts!
I enjoyed the replica 1922 Oregon classroom with the sample 8th grade graduation test (partial-no math was included). My husband and I enjoyed playing with thought questions from history! The 1918 Spanish Flu exhibit is thought provoking-human nature seems unchanged. There are lots of artifacts from the kitchen (Grandma's toaster, etc.) and other early machines, as well as exhibits from old movies filmed here and the actual projector from the old movie theater. There is also a collection of stone artifacts from early Native American camps, but it is not extensive.

Beautiful Building.
Super nice volunteer that worked there and very knowledgeable. Beautiful building, - gives a great history of what life was like back in the late 1800s

Nice Local History
The city of Bend used the 1914 Reid School as a depository for local artifacts. The historic building features a classroom setup so familiar to anyone over the age of 50. Nice displays, though some of the rooms could use some beefing up. Liked the hand carved wagons and the history of the astronauts who trained here on the lava bends. Cool place a block or so from downtown. We liked it.

Very Knowledgeable
They have our history in a small space but the staff is very willing to help find something. We went in looking for an address of a family that lived here 100 years ago. We found out property was listed by name, so you looked up the name and got the address They have great walking tours of the historic part of town
