    Small but vibrant!

This little cathedral gallery has brought some amazing artwork to little Corvallis. The annual Around Oregon show highlights work being done by Oregon artists, and the variety is always surprising. There's one show each year where anyone can come and hang their artwork on the walls. Talk about variety!

    Love this place!

There is an ever changing art show in the Art Center. The gift shop up front offers local artists goodies. The building itself is a historic work of art. Small gallery. Not best for little kids.

    Take a peek

On Madison avenue, next to Central Park, with a beautiful statue of a ballerina out front, this small gallery is a pleasant stop most any time of year. Located in a small church building, this place is still providing a sanctuary for the soul.

    Another hidden treasure

What was once the Episcopal Church was threatened by being torn down. But visionary felt the building was worth saving, and from it came a small arts museum and community center. It is located across from a city park, two churches and the main library branch all sit across from that park. Its smallness limits how much it can exhibit, but it is a catalyst to a dedicated arts community. Many downtown eateries also exhibit art while some artists collaborate to exhibit their works in a workshop and have organized a monthly art walk to encourage everyone to be exposed to local artists. One month a year, there is an "Everyone Can Exhibit" exhibition. The exhibiters range from well-known local artists and grade school children. Pretty wonderful to provide that possibility to children.

    Jewel of Corvallis

The Arts Center is a sometimes overlooked jewel in the center of Corvallis. Housed in an old church building the interior is bright and airy, the architecture perfect for it's present use as a gallery/gift shop. The exhibits change on a monthly basis and represent local, regional and national artists. Be sure and check out the gift shop for something special to remember Corvallis.
