We stayed in one of the tiny houses. It was stocked with common kitchen equipment (no microwave though) and there is a grocery store within a short trip distance by car. It was wonderful to cook our own meals. Everything was clean and there is even a laundry center to wash clothes on the property. It was a little nippy outside but the heater in the tiny house kept us nice and warm. Staff was friendly and more than helpful. Didn't have a bad experience with any person I met there. I would recommend this place to friends and family if they are in the area.
Mt Hood RV Village, Welches, OR
Booked two nights at MT Hood RV Village in a yurt. When we checked in they told us construction/tree clearing going on near the yurts, and gave us a rustic cabin instead with no additional charges. Very happy with the choice. Very few people there in late Oct, so it was quiet, and really enjoyed my first time in the area. Will definitely go back and stay here.
First time staying in a Tiny House
Have you ever stayed in a Tiny House? It was our first experience. The Lincoln was the cutest and a well built tiny house, but the design left us not wanting to return. We had our fur baby with us so the Lincoln was our only option. Being a senior, getting into and out of bed was the worst part. The first night was an American funniest video moment. Someone should have been videotaping that entrance for sure. After finally getting situated we laid there and giggled and laughed out loud. There was room for a queen size mattress, but instead there was a double. We are two tall senior folks people. No sleep for me the first night. No space around the bed to get in and out except for the tiny entrance into the bedroom. The only soft seating to watch TV were two foot stools tucked in a corner. The kitchen function worked well for me, but missed a microwave to heat the muffins I brought from home. There is a Cafe' & Bakery that I recommend. We got there just about closing and they prepared us some food anyway. All the food we ate there was very tasty. We did enjoyed the fall colors of the leaves on our walks plus it rained most of the time. One other thing: I'm not a fan of Ductless heating. We bought a little heater which we put on the floor then the ductless heater blew the heat around. Worked great. Ductless heaters blow a lot of cold air.
Very relaxing stay. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The campground looked so beautiful in all the fall colors. Our observations were that everyone was having a great time. The restrooms were cleaned and well stocked, as was the laundry facility..
Lovely Tiny house!
Beautiful grounds, loads of camp spaces. The Tiny house was as cute as expected with all amenities advertised. I didn’t use the shower houses as I had one in my rental but others that had said they were very clean and had been recently updated. All staff were friendly and informative. Would definitely stay here again.
