A really wonderful Christmas experience!
We have been members of the Garden on and off for years (and have stayed at the Resort 3 or 4 times starting in 2014). Our stay on Christmas Eve showed some much-needed improvements for sure. The Christmas Lights are FABULOUS - we were blown away by the displays. The breakfast offered in the package was mediocre at best (the restaurant on the whole has always been our least favorite element of the Resort and Garden). But the room has definitely shown improvements: the bed was very comfortable, much cleaner than in our past stays, the TV was a vast improvement, the fireplace always adds coziness, the digital upgrades for checkin and checkout and other digital communications are sooo 21st century, and last but not least, the front desk staff are also much improved! All in all a really nice stay!

A quick getaway before Christmas
A nice date getaway before Christmas. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed Happy hour, walked the lights (a few times), enjoyed the music in the Biergarten and music in the bar. Stayed one night. Room was nice, comfortable. Might need some updates soon, as the exterior door base looks to have some rot from water damage. Really liked that the room had a fireplace. Breakfast the next morning was nice. Good options. We would go again but with other couples next time. I forgot a pair of boots in our room upon checkout and the staff very kindly notified me and offered to ship them to me, I could pick them up or they could donate them. That was a very kind gesture. It would be great to see this event grow and add more vendors and more light displays.

Christmas at the Garden
We throughly enjoyed our Christmas eve stay. Nice size room in convenient location of the property. Breakfast buffet offered many nice choices. And due to the holiday season, the light displays were really, really pretty!

Nearly perfect!
Just 1 hr. south of Portland, the weather Christmas week was drier and pleasant. The drive through ranches and orchards was idyllic. Oregon Garden Resort was full of charm, nature, and pleasant, helpful staff. Our room was clean and comfy, with some updates from when we first spent time there years ago. It was a good value and peaceful. We had everything we needed. The included breakfast buffet was better than some and the dinners were delicious and satisfying. It was a perfect holiday trip! The only improvement I would recommend is to replace the room coffee makers. They usually stop working during each of our visits and need to be replaced, as was also the case this time. Also, in an era of great concern for the environment, there is a surprisingly unconscionable amount of hard plastic in each coffee pod. My guess is the property received a deep discount on them during the hard times of the pandemic. The property seems to be thriving now, so I think it's replacement time. ;)

Can You Top This Christmas Experience
On our last night at OGR we were walking through the light displays when we were privileged to meet up with Denise. We noticed her name tag and told her about our wonderful experiences at your resort. She was generous with her time and details of the amount of time, number of lights, and of the crew's timeframe for installs and removals of the wonderful creations. Thank you for the time, expense, and people to bring this all together. The food and staff at the restaurant were very good, and thanks for a unique once in a lifetime experience.
