Excellent in so many ways!
Excellent manager and staff, front desk, breakfast, and housekeeping, all were very courteous, attentive, and efficient! I stay almost a week and was always 100% satisfied. It has a very convenient and safe but quiet location. It is easy to go out for a walk, access cafés, restaurants, and bars, and even do a small grocery shopping at an “natural” farmers style supermarket.

Terrible Hotel and Do NOT GO
I had a horrible experience at this property on April 2023. I booked 3 nights stay and the fire alarm went off at mid night on 9th April everyone evacuated from the building at cold raining night. When I went back to my room and found the room was flooded, the carpet and floor all got wet. Room was not able to stay at all. Duty front desk staff didn’t move me yo another room and without details explanation I was sent to another hotel nearby to stay around 2am. More ridicules was I was told the night for both hotel need to paid by myself. I double paid an accommodation on the night that I barely slept. I requested to see a management to raise up an issue and wanted a full refund. Unfortunately, they refused and ignore my request. Keep telling me the excuse that management is not around. Front Desk Agent is not able to make any decision. At the end no one from the hotel to apology or refund the charge until i checked out on 11th April. It is totally unacceptable and not fair treatment which i have experienced. I am extremely disappointed with the whole process how did they treat their customer. At last but least, the front desk supervisor Jennifer was extremely rude, no service sense at all. Use impolite words and just simply reply me that I didn’t know this as it was not me on duty yesterday. I will never want to go back to stay this hotel. Even I am a Diamond Member of IHG, I can’t imagine this hotel treated their loyalty customer like this. Terrible hotel and will never stay again!!!!

YAY !!!
Clean, comfortable, everything you'd hope for !!! Front desk was busy but friendly & efficient. Room was spotless & bathroom literally sparkled. Generous supply of towels & ample counter space for toiletries. Fridge/micro & flat screen TV. Free wifi w/excellent signal strength. Lots of easily accessible bedside electrical outlets for charging electronics. Grounds were beautifully landscaped. Parking lot was well lit & I felt my vehicle was safe. Melted off to sleep on very comfortable bed w/lovely linens & lots of fat, fluffy pillows. Weird toilet but guess it's a "water saver" although it fills the room with stink as stool isn't covered as deposited & if you have to flush 2-3x to get rid of skid marks then doesn't that defeat the purpose? In-room Keurig & I thought it was ironic as I wondered how many little plastic K-cups are going into the landfill in a part of the country that is so concerned about going green. Left out early but continental was already up & I started my day w/a smile on my face thanks to cheerful Jill. Highly recommend & would DEFINITELY stay here again !!!

Good option in Hillsboro
Stayed here twice in early to mid Mov. 2022. Close to Orenco Station and downtown Hillsboro. There are stores across Cornell Ave. Front desk is helpful. Lobby area is spacious with lots of seating. There’s a fitness center. Good weekday breakfast hours. Would like to see expanded weekend breakfast hours with those with morning airline departures.. I couldn’t get the computers in the lobby to work, though I didn’t ask about them either, so it may have been that someone would have helped me with those if I had asked. I’m not aware of there being a laundry room, so that’s something to keep in mind if you’re staying for more than a few days. During my first stay, in the bathroom, I was provided with a soap bar, but there was also supposed to a liquid hand-soap/body-wash dispenser near the bathroom sink, but there wasn’t. There was a dispenser in the shower, but it was low on soap. In fairness, I note that I didn’t bring this to management’s attention and this wasn’t an issue my second stay. Similar with the WiFi. I couldn’t get WiFi to work during my first stay, but it worked perfectly fine my second stay.

Solid Choice for Hillsboro
My boyfriend stays here every time he visits Hillsboro and I accompanied him on his most recent trip. The Holiday Inn is within walkable distance of the Orenco light rail station, which can easily get you into Portland. There are also a number of restaurants around the Orenco station; anything else is about a mile away and west of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were pleasant. Housekeeping seemed to be available only upon request. This appears to be a COVID holdover (or perhaps lack of staff). I chose to open the window at night rather than use the noisy A/C wall unit (thanks to cool Portland evenings). We noted some maintenance issues: a burned-out lamp and the safe didn't work. There's only generic art on the walls, so you wouldn't know you were in Oregon as opposed to Chicago or Atlanta based on what you see in the room. The walls are thin; we could easily hear the guests in the next room talking. There's a small shop to the left of the check-in counter with frozen foods, drinks, and snacks. The free breakfast offered eggs (omelettes or scrambled), potatoes, bacon or sausage, and biscuits and gravy each day, along with pancakes, cereal, fruit, and beverages. The only oddity I saw was that the juice machine didn't offer orange juice -- the most popular juice in the U.S. Instead, they had passionfruit, apple, water and mango juice. I'm thinking the juice wasn't very popular because i had to tear off about 13 layers of plastic to get at the plastic juice cups each morning. The shuttle bus was not available during our stay; the hotel was trying to hire a driver. Despite some of the minor glitches, our stay was pleasant and we'd definitely return.
