Very Clean, Excellent Hot Breakfast, Great Price, Near Tesla Supercharger!

Affordable, Clean & Comfortable room, friendly staff, hot breakfast had all the required accompaniments (Orange Juice tasted fresh & not too watered down, additional item + eggs & bacon served, Half & Half in jug... not just tiny containers, etc). Great location easy on/off the Hwy + walking distance to Cousins restaurant we like to visit when we travel through here and walking distance to Tesla Supercharger that we must use when travelling by. We travel across North America in our Tesla and usually will stay at Marriott brands: Fairfield, Springhill, Courtyard, etc... Even though it may seem all "Fairfields' or 'Springhills' may be the same - they are NOT! This one for this trip was very good, one of the best of the 6 we stayed in.

Marriott needs to rethink its Template

BonVoy is the program everyone loves to hate. The point discrepancy among hotels is glaring. Here at The Dalles I was compelled to use 29,000 points for one night for the smallest king room I have ever encountered. Nice building but teeny rooms. And breakfast was unremarkable. No bread and no toast!! What about guests who prefer a light breakfast rather than mystery sausage, premade omelettes, and glops of oatmeal? Marriott let me down.

Nicer room, terrible breakfast

Pros: The room was nice and clean, had all the usual amenities. Bathroom was large and well equipped. The room was quiet, with very little noise from anywhere outside. Beds (we had a 2 queen) were comfortable, with different pillow choices. Internet was pretty good. Staff was friendly. Fresh cookies in the lobby each night. Cons: Check-in took a lot longer than it should have. Only one clerk, and he was on the phone. I noticed other people in the back room, but none came out to help, even with several people in line. -Biggest con was the breakfast. While the breakfast area was spacious, clean and inviting, the food was terrible! Pre-packaged items that were not very good, some under-cooked bacon one morning, greasy sausage the next. No waffles like most places have. "Blueberry" muffins that tasted like blueberry perfume. Not at all what I'd expect when paying this much for a room.

Nice, fairly new property. At the moment, the signage and location take an extra minute to figure out, but you can get there. I appreciate the multi use containers on shampoo, soap, and conditioner. Yea! for eco friendly. The breakfast was ample and had variety. The pool was a little cool, but I got used to it. Plenty of parking. Nice stay.

Excellent night of rest super quiet and friendly staff - Great find!

The location of this Fairfield Inn is not the typical Marriot hotel area >>> behind a trailer court/park, and rental business that at first looked like a junk yard. It turned out to be a diamond property. Super quiet, lots of parking spaces. The entire hotel is very clean. Front desk staff was friendly. In the afternoon they have chocolate chip cookies. Breakfast had so many varieties, including bacon and four cheese soufflé (pre package and heated), plus croissant breakfast sandwiches. We got some hard boiled eggs, oatmeal with amazing toppings. Yogurt and banana. Very please with the selection. Our room was on the top floor, end of the hall next to the storage area. It is a king suite with extra separate living room, two TVs. Rarely do we get this kind of quiet. It made a great night of rest. Will definitely stay here again when passing through The Dalles.

Nice place to stay.
