The Slopeside Cabin at Collins Lake Resort offers a rare synthesis of comfort, design, and natural immersion. Nestled among towering pines, the cabin provides a tranquil, almost contemplative setting, ideal for those seeking restoration and a deeper connection to the alpine landscape. The private balcony, complete with a hot tub, opens to unobstructed views of the night sky, making even quiet evenings feel expansive. Architecturally, the space is both functional and elegant. Expansive windows bring the surrounding forest indoors, and the layout balances openness with warmth. The living room, anchored by an electric wood-burning stove and a large television, became our gathering space for movie nights and conversation. The kitchen was well-appointed, allowing us to prepare simple meals with ease, including a peach cobbler that felt perfectly at home in the mountain setting. Outside, the gas grill expanded our options for shared meals. Among the notable amenities were a double shower, a downstairs sauna, and an abundance of clean towels, all practical yet thoughtful touches that contributed to a sense of care. The shampoo and conditioner provided were of good quality, and while the linens were not luxurious, their cleanliness and quantity were more than sufficient. The cabin manages to convey a quiet sense of grandeur, not in extravagance, but in its intentionality. Everything feels purposeful, from the natural materials to the way light filters through the trees in the morning. It’s a place that invites stillness and reflection, while providing every comfort needed to truly unwind.

Great Ski Condo
Great Condo! Loved all the conveniences. Elevator, Trollies for luggage, Fireplace. Unfortunately the hot tub was Out of Service. One of the main reasons we booked here. But eveything else made up for it. We were in unit 3002 and it had everything you could need or want.

Nice place near to Timberline Ski
FIrst time renting a condo unit here. You can book direct with the resort website but they do not accept foriegn credit cards online. I managed to find our booking from Agoda for a unit in the same development and they then require you to use the Vacasa app to manage the process and need to submit a lease agreement etc. Additional fees apply so the price you see is not the final price paid to Agoda but it still worked out slightly cheaper for similar sized unit. We could not locate the unit with the instructions given and stopped by the management office for directions but there was a very rude lady who refused to provide any help because we did not book direct. But there was a very nice lady from the office that came out and gave us the right directions and a development map. It would have been helpful if that map was also given as part of the check in instructions. The unit itself was clean and everything worked except the wifi but it was quickly resolved the next day with a temp password once we called the management company for the unit. Heating was great and all the appliances were working well including washer and dryer. A really comfortable stay and suitable for cooking meals for our family of 4. Location is great and 10 min drive to TImberline for Skiing and government camp has a small grocery / gift store which we bought additional supplies.. I will definitely consider staying there again.

More info would have been helpful
We rented a condo for the weekend. The owner gave info about arrival, departure and care of the property. It would have been helpful to know that the ‘2 car garage’ is single file-not side by side; the stairs between floors are 15 steps up a 45 degree angle; and the hours that the pool and office are ‘open’. Housekeeping left something to be desired: moldy coffee grounds in the coffee pot basket; pipe ‘scum’ came out when the tub jets were activated; and used aluminum foil left in the BBQ. However- those were all easily corrected and all other aspects of the property were good.

Family reunion site
Approx. 100 of us rented multiple units for a family reunion. We stayed in units 5 and 6. Both condos were clean and spacious. Well stocked, but do know you likely need to bring items such as ziplock bags, Saran Wrap, etc. units came with dishwashing and laundry detergent. The property is lovely. Elevator access available. Nice walk to Government Camp. Would recommend to others.
