One elevator to service all guests and staff members for a hotel with 15 floors (maybe more). Very frustrating at times. The 2nd elevator was broken, and I guess they don’t have a separate elevator for staff/housekeeping. Which might not sound like a big deal, until you realize how much the housekeeping staff has to use it to go back and forth between floors. And apparently their key cards override the normal process because even if the elevator was heading down to the lobby, they could get on at any other floor, scan their card, and make the elevator to back up to, say, the 10th floor instead of continuing down to the lobby first. Kind of ridiculous at times, and never even an apologetic glance.

Had a really great experience here and was a lovely stay in and perfect location. Eric the concierge was super help and went out of his way to help us find a great dinner spot and made reservations for us. Stay here if you’re in Portland!

Downtown Portland Stay
The Paramount offered rooms at a good price. Not too fancy, but fine. Good location downtown and near transit. We had a very nice dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Great place in the heart of downtown
Our stay at Paramount was great. Comfy beds. Awesome, small balcony looking over Director Park. Convenient to all downtown eateries, foodtruck courts, and shopping. Hotel tavern and restaurant both had excellent food, drinks, and service.

Great Hotel A+
This hotel is really great. The room was clean and modern. The location is perfect and within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, and things to do/see. The staff were so nice and helpful. We had an emergency and they let us check in early. I cannot recommend this hotel more.
