Jupiter NEXT is a modern, elevated boutique hotel in historic Central Eastside, featuring epic views of downtown Portland, and a tropical-inspired restaurant and bar, Hey Love. A short walk to Convention Center, Moda Center, and downtown Portland.

Overall, the hotel was great. Rooms, food, staff. One blemish and that was parking. If the hotel is sold out, they do not have parking for everyone, not their fault completely, but setting the expectation is. Was told my car was fine on the street and then halfway through the weekend was told sorry we were mistaken, lucked out and found parking $50 for my trouble. It was annoying, doable, but annoying.
Jupiter Next does a great job at keeping Portland weird. It was my first impression and I appreciated it. It was so rare to see my room so fully stocked for my 5 night stay. I never once needed to reach out to housekeeping which is definitely uncommon. It was a fun place to be and I would definitely recommend it.
Really loved this hotel. The location was great being near downtown but not in downtown, meaning everything was convenient and it was quiet. Cool and funky vibe, nice people, reasonably priced … definitely will be going back.
We stayed two nights recently, and have stayed at Jupiter NEXT before. A neighbor had recommended it. We like the location, the proximity to Grendel’s Coffee House, the walkability of it. We like the clean aesthetic. But above all, the people who work there! They are polite, helpful, kind. You hire well!
GREAT option for Portland hotel! The hotel itself is super cute (very clean) and staff is friendly. The hotel bar Hey Love is not only adorable and surrounded with plants, but their cocktails are delicious too (I recommend the Secret Life of Plants for something sweet and fruity). We had a corner room with awesome views of downtown. So much light during the day which made the blackout curtains come in handy in the morning. Those things work!! Stayed so dark in the morning I had to use my phone light to navigate around (so that I wouldn’t wake my sleeping sister). You also can’t beat the location. Walking distance to so many good restaurant options along Burnside, and also nearby bars if you’re in the going out mood (The Slammer nearby is a great local dive bar option). Transportation is also super easy. I had to walk all of two blocks to the #12 bus stop on Couch St. that took me to the middle of downtown in under 15 minutes. If you’re on the fence between here and another hotel, let this post be the push to lean toward Jupiter!
