The Jupiter is a boutique hotel centrally located in SE Portland. The hotel offers a unique haven for sleeping, eating, drinking, meeting, partying, or just watching the world go by. Get in the center of action near Doug Fir Lounge at the original Jupiter, or get a little more luxury and spectacular city views at the modern addition Jupiter NEXT.

Fun, comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Great location! Was walking distance to restaurants. The staff was friendly. The motel is funky and fun- complete with chalkboard doors and little goodies. I definitely recommend for a stay in Portland.
The older side has been updated pretty well, but still leaves a lot to be desired, especially if your party is more than 2 people. Those rooms are still pretty small with 2 queen beds in them. The NEXT side is great; try to stay there if you can.
Room was clean and quiet (on the second floor) but wow, it's a party scene on the weekend. Most of the outdoor courtyard is dedicated to the Doug Fir bar venue, so the tiny hotel rooms are blocked in, and the only gathering area is a shared outdoor event tent (which may come with very drunk guests). Would be nice to have another option for small groups. Location is great, however, walkable to good restaurants and bars. Staff were all very friendly.
no coffee maker or kettle in room carpet was kind of gross toilet would burp back after flushing it shower pressure was minimal and airbnb would feel more accommodating but the proximity to the convention center was good
The rooms are small and tidy. Mine had plenty of places to charge laptops and phones, but my trip partners room was very lacking in those amenities. Friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere. If you have a rental car be aware that parking is very limited and will cost extra. They were remodeling the Lobby for Jupiter and you had to check in at Jupiter NEXT- It's just helpful to know that ahead of the trip. The rooms are small but I didn't feel cramped and there are a lot of fun little extras that made me feel at home - chalk board art doors being one of them.
