Very deceiving
What we weren’t aware of are there are two areas. One is remodeled and the other is basically a motel. We had no idea that we booked in the motel section since the images showed only the newly renovated areas. The first room they put us in reeked of smoke and was dirty. The second room was heavily sprayed down with room spray and every little noise could be heard from the upstairs room. When we complained, we were offered an upgrade at 71+tax per night. That’s basically an entire room price in addition per night!

Lovely Stay
Wonderful and fun location! Comfortable room. A great place to stay in PTown! 10/10 recommend. I am writing this now because this review has to be 100 characters long. But what I said above stands.

Highly Unprofessional Staff
I booked this hotel for my son, who lives in Portland. The front desk canceled my reservation because they said they didn't like the "vibe." When I questioned what that meant, they would not give me an answer.

Opportunity wasted by poor business decisions
The room was clean, but very poorly lit. The mattresses were firm, though uneven. The water was hot, but the water pressure was limp. I think the part of my stay that disappointed me the most, though, was the customer service. Don’t get me wrong, all of the workers were friendly as hell, but obvious business decisions have been made that impacted our stay. There’s a sign saying “guest coffee 8am to 11am,” but today there was none, and somehow the coffee in the NEXT lobby is worse than what they served Hotel guests on Friday morning. The most egregious customer service self-own? There’s a water station in the room in the Hotel where coffee was Friday morning, but that room is locked outside of coffee hours it seems. To fill your water bottle, leave the Hotel, to go NEXT, take the elevator up to the third floor, take two rights and you’re there. Why on Earth is crossing the street involved in filling my water bottle when I rented a hotel room? We really wanted to like this place, it’s fun and has cool art everywhere. The thing with the mirrors is super cool and I love it. But I can’t come back here, let’s be serious. I haven’t even mentioned that all three nights of my stay I had to park my rental car in a public pay lot three blocks away overnight because they sold out of parking. I guess I probably shouldn’t complain though, that did save me $80. There’s also this gigantic print of The Blues Brothers (on a mission from God, no less) in my room, it is incredible! The wall outside the balcony of the fifth floor of NEXT there’s some really fun art; one with a googly eye! Oh, also, my teenage son and I found no use for the complementary chewing gum. Maybe be a bit more selective about which freebies you leave in rooms?
