Great pet friendly - excessively high Oregon tourism tax
We would recommend staying on the 3rd floor. We stayed 6 nights in 109 and the floor above us was occupied by folks with heavy footsteps 4 of the 6 nights. Great pet friendly accommodations. Will look for different accommodations in the future. Taxes were $588 for the stay.

No, no, no.
The good: Rooms and entire lodge are clean and well decorated. Location is great being right next to the beach and multiple hiking areas. The bad: My room was placed next to a main stairwell and the front beach access entrance/exit. This meant nonstop loud footsteps and the access door opening and closing. And by nonstop I mean from 5am-2am as the entire staff and guests are moving about. Absolute lack of peace and quiet. Additionally, the steam room was broken so we couldn't even access that our entire stay, and a major reason we booked here was because of the steam room. To make matters worse, our in/room bathtub leaks so it won't hold water. The hotel offered us $100 credit, and we also had $100 for booking Chase's The Edit program. We couldn't use the credit because the resort disabled the room service menu. Also there was never anyone at the "Adventure Center" -- it was just a couple of brochures. I booked through Chase Sapphire Reserve The Edit program paying nearly $800/night and cannot recommend this stay.

Spectacular views, well appointed rooms, service was non exsitent, especially for a property of this nature
Well-appointed rooms with spectacular views, but service was nonexistent for a supposed top 5 resort in the Pacific Northwest by Conde Nast. No housekeeping, and when we asked for new towels and sheets, we stayed 5 nights, it was like we put out the team. They came into our unit, walked past our room service dishes, and did not take them. We then put them outside our room. They sat for 5 days; no one picked them up. Guest Services, aka Front Desk, couldn't answer a question; it was like they weren't properly onboarded and seemed put out when we asked them anything. Lots of "I don't know...I'm not sure..." F&B was less than what you expect at a top 5 resort in PNW; the food was bland, and the menu was limited. Sunday Brunch had nothing for children, and when asked if we could order something from the kids' menu, we were told we had only one option:" I mean it's kids' food, so easy, drop in the fryer. This is hospitality, be kind, and accommodating. "I'm not sure, let me get back to you on that. What room are you in so I can leave you a message? No problem, happy to make them a burger." The service made our stay so-so; despite the location and views, it should have been a 10/10. Maybe they had a lot of turnover? This was a May trip, and maybe they just hired...One person on the team got it: Daniel on the adventure team was kind and personable, great with children, and a go-getter. We highly recommend anything with him, specifically clamming/clam bake. Fun activity for a family of four, and he was our best meal on site with the wood-fired clam bake.

Stop what you’re doing and book this hotel
Stayed here for 2 nights for a quick girls trip. This hotel is amazing! The view from your room balcony is stunning. The adventure coaches went out of their way to give us an unforgettable experience. We had a sunset beach bon fire, private crab shaking lesson and rented bikes to explore the town. The spa with steam room and hot tub were the cherry on top of the perfect stay. Highly recommend!

Pups come first!
If you have a pup and want a truly family experience, the Headlands Costal Resort is the very best you can find. I would recommend room 111 as it has the fastest access for you and your dog to enjoy one the best beaches anywhere (long runways, firm sand and an amazing view). The in house restaurant also has special booths so your dog can dine with you. Amazing!
