Great hotel
Rooms were great. Food was great. Front desk staff was incredible. Make sure to try their local chocolate!

Horrible from start to end!
Stayed May 23–25 (Room K1-601) and this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. Valet was the only parking option and repeatedly failed to respond to calls and messages. Despite AMEX early check-in eligibility, I waited 60+ minutes in the lobby and the room still wasn't ready past 4 PM. The room itself had broken AC (offered a fan as a solution), a broken shower, and a cracked mirror with exposed glass — a genuine safety hazard with a young child present. Floor 6's water dispenser was broken, and I found a needle on the hallway floor near where my child was playing. On billing, I was charged for items I did not take — the receptionist gave me incorrect credit information, I corrected myself at the counter based on it, returned the items, and was still billed; she then refused to fix the charge. The checkout staff were dismissive and told me it was my responsibility to report property issues during my stay. The manager's goodwill gesture mid-stay was the only moment of competence in the entire visit. Everything else fell well below basic Hilton standards. Will not return.

Amazing staff, property and location
Easy and fast check in. Everyone we interacted with had a smile and was helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Has pretty much everything you need and within Walking distance to most of the Pearl district and commuter travel. Would recommend.

Great location. Nice hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at Canopy. Location is great is in what feels like a safe neighborhood. Great coffee spots, restaurants and shopping all in walking distance. While the front desk staff were nice and pleasant - as other reviews state there is not always someone at the desk and don’t answer the hotel phone. If you are looking for high touch service and concierge services this is not the place for you. Room was great - only issue is the mattresses are well past their prime and are worn down and not good for you back.

Facility is nice, the experience a big nope
Convenient to the train station and public transportation, this hotel is on the edge of the Pearl District. The area appears long past its prime, but there are an abundance of restaurants in easy walking distance. Powell's City of Books is also very close by. The hotel itself is industrial chic, with high ceilings and exposed pipes in the lobby, concrete floors and thin cotton rugs in the rooms. Our king-bedded room faced noisy 9th St. There's a TV mounted on the wall opposite the bed, getting Netflix and YouTube in addition to cable channels. There's an alcove with enough room for suitcases and clothing. The bathroom has good counter space as well as some small shelves. There's a large shower, no tub. Amenities include hand soap and lotion in pump dispensers on the sink, wall-mounted body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in the shower. There's no refrigerator, but there's a cooling drawer. A communal microwave is in the hall. There's a Nespresso for your coffee. Valet parking is $55, or you can self park in the open lot across the street for $32. The restaurant serves breakfast, though while we were there fully a third of the menu was not available. If you have the $15 daily credit, that probably won't be enough though self-serve coffee is complimentary, While the facility itself is fine, our experience was truly substandard. Super shout out to Maria, who not only made a fine cocktail but helped serve breakfast one morning and even helped check us out. The rest of the staff we encountered ranged from pleasant to indifferent. Without going into detail, which we're taking up with the hotel, we had issues with room equipment, housekeeping, and the restaurant. Based on this, while we might stay at another Canopy, we would not recommend this one. Go down the street to the Hampton Inn instead. Quick tip: even if you check in with the app, be sure to go to the front desk. The digital key was temperamental. Ask about the "cocktail of the day" - the front desk and bartender don't agree on that. And ask about whether to expect daily housekeeping. I also noticed that the person in front of us was told she could request a refrigerator if she wanted one - that detail was left out for us.
