Leave nothing behind
We have stayed at Oregon Garden Resort several times, but this visit was ruined by how staff handled a lost item. Just hours after checkout, I called to report that we had left our toddler’s $70 sound machine in the room. The front desk showed little interest, did not ask for our room number or details, and only took the information after I insisted. It was clear that they did not intend to send anyone specifically to check our room for the lost item but rather planned to wait and see if it turned up during housekeeping rounds. When we followed up later in the day, we were told the item had not been found. Staff offered no effort beyond “waiting to see if it turned up.” We were referred to housekeeping, but the voicemail was full. An email address was provided, yet my detailed message with photos received no reply. Even after contacting the resort through their text system, the only outreach I ever received from the resort was a short text message repeating that the item had not been located. The entire process felt dismissive. Despite reporting the item just hours after departure—well before another guest could have checked in—no one bothered to physically check the room. Instead, we were met with indifference and a lack of follow through. There is a big gap between the level of quality and customer service the resort portrays and our experience. The handling of our situation was unresponsive, uninterested, and far below expectations.

Former glory need a redo
These rooms and lidging desperately need to be upgraded. The lounge chairs in the bar are honestly filthy and worn. That all being said, we had a great time, staff is very friendly and the lights were amazing and we will be back.

Pleasantly surprised
When we arrived to room it felt very luxurious, even had 2 bathrooms and 2 fireplaces, was even more surprised to see dual sinks and even a personalized welcome on the 2 TV’s, we were surrounded by Christmas lights which was wonderful as well.

Hey you, you’re gonna like it here!
Cozy room and a very good breakfast was included. The lounge was nice and had live music every night. I wish we had been here a couple of weeks later because they were in the process of setting up for Christmas and it looked like it was going to be awesome. Close to downtown with lots of restaurants and shopping. We stumbled on the place when we were looking for a place to stay in Salem. So glad we found it. Also a very cool Frank Lloyd Wright home with tours right next to the property. Lots of hiking trails in the area as well. Lastly, the staff was super friendly, at the front desk as well as the restaurants.

Had a fantastic stay
Had a wonderful time! Christmas Market, holiday light display, live music, excellent food and drink at restaurants, beer garden and vendors. Room was fantastic, clean, comfortable, gas fire place, balcony, very comfortable. Definitely recommend, all ages, and great family venue.
