Bullards Beach offers visitors camping with full RV hookups, yurt stays, hiking , fishing, boating, biking, horseback riding, beach access, bird watching, and viewing interpretive and historic displays.

The campground is nestled among shore pines and well protected from the strong ocean breezes. Besides three loops of campsites, the park boasts thirteen yurts, making year round camping a very popular choice. The horse camp features easy access to the beach and dunes for equestrian campers.

Well known for excellent fishing and crabbing opportunities on the Coquille River, the boat launch facilities are well-used during the summer and fall seasons.

From the registration booth in the campground, take a stroll on a meandering paved pathway to the beach (a little more than a mile). The path weaves through the open grassy fields and lowland forest across a plain to the sandy dunes. All along the path are views of the beautiful Coquille River, usually dotted with colorful boats and kayaks. Across the river is Bandon Marsh National Wildlife Refuge, sporting a variety of resident and migrating wildlife. Be sure to bring your binoculars!

The historic Coquille River Lighthouse is located at the end of the beach access road in the park. It’s staffed from May thru October with park volunteers who interpret the history of the area and lead tours to the lantern room. From this point, there are 4.5 miles of open beach to explore. Bring your mountain bike to ride along the hard-packed sand along the edge of the surf or just enjoy a leisurely stroll on along the ocean shore. The park also has a 7-mile equestrian trail.

There’s more nearby. Across the river is Bandon by the Sea. Visit a variety of shops, galleries and restaurants in the town that is called “The Cranberry Capital of the World” as well as the “The Storm Watching Capital of the World.” Learn the legend of Face Rock and access miles of shoreline at our day use State Parks on Beach Loop Drive. Vital stats: The park offers 90 full hookup campsites, 95 electrical sites (maximum site 64 feet); 13 yurts; a horse camp (8 sites, 4 single and 4 double corrals); a hiker/biker camp.

: The Oregon coast receives abundant rainfall, mostly between October and April. July and August bring the best chance for clear days. Summer temperatures are normally moderate and almost never hot. Winter temperatures are normally cool at the lower elevations and cold at the higher elevations. Although snow is possible in the lowest elevations, it is infrequent and does not stay on the ground for long.
