Friendly & relaxing
Stopped in here on our first night and had an early dinner, our boys had the kids burger and fries, lots of different kid menu options, my wife had fish and chips and I had the Pirates plate which had clams, calamari, deep fried cod, breaded shrimp, onion rings, Cole slaw and clam chowder. The service was great I had a local IPA my wife had a margarita and she did notice that it seemed to lack alcohol, good place for quick bite, nice view of the lack and overall good service and food, we got lava cake and was supposed to be strawberry cheesecake but when we got back to our motel we noticed we got carrot cake which was fine because it ended up being delicious, would come here again for sure.

Good food, with a view!
My family enjoyed our dinner here. Pirate Plate and Seafood Basket did not disappoint. Calamari was meaty, tender and tasty! The Server was good, even took a family picture with a nice view by the water. While food and service was good, glass wares needed to be replaced. Overused and way too tired.

Good casual food in a clean, pretty location
We stopped in Waldport on a drive to Eugene. The Salty Dog is a diner—fun, casual, clean. Our waitress was harried but pleasant and efficient. We had the senior brunch special—pancake,, egg, sausage. Plenty of well-cooked food for around $10. Nice location on the water. We walked on the docks afterwards—saw A man crabbing, seabirds, fishermen. A fun place

Feel like a local 😁
We were visiting family in the area and used this as an evening out sometimes for just drinks sometimes for eats. Always a great experience. The staff are so welcoming and made us feel at home. Would highly recommend 😁

Nice local vibe, excellent seafood
This lovely little gem has lots of charm ,old relics on the walls and good food. We went to lunch and had Nancy as our waitress. She was friendly, efficient and made us feel right at home. It’s a small space with comfortable seating and the entire wait staff and kitchen staff all work together to get you taken care of. We had the clam basket and fries (9.50) and the calamari basket and fries(9.50). The fries are home made so crispy and plentiful. The fish was battered in a light cover so the taste of the fish was the star. Lots of locals, laughter and Oregon baseball on the Telly. we were bummed they were out of their t shirts/hats. We’d go back again.. remember cash is king ( they prefer cash, surcharge for cards).
