About Page Mountain Sno-Park

Page Mountain Sno-Park is a public winter recreation area in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest above Cave Junction and Oregon’s Illinois Valley. The Forest Service lists the site for day use from sunrise to sunset and provides a setting for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and snow play when conditions allow. Visitors will find vault toilets, but no potable water, and should plan to bring winter equipment, food and water. From Cave Junction, the Forest Service directs travelers via Caves Highway, Holland Loop Road, Happy Camp/Grayback Road and Forest Road 48 (Indian Creek Road); winter travel can be difficult, so check current Forest Service alerts and TripCheck road conditions before leaving. An Oregon Sno-Park permit is required for designated Sno-Park parking from November 1 through April 30. Snow conditions can change quickly, and the Forest Service cautions that crusted snow and crowded slopes can increase sledding speeds. Road maintenance and repair information should be confirmed before visiting, particularly after documented damage on Forest Road 48.
