Waters Creek Interpretive Trail

Waters Creek Interpretive Trail is a pair of interpretive hiking loops along Water Creek in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, outside Grants Pass. The Forest Service describes the first loop as about 1 mile and “barrier-free”; the second is not barrier-free and is open to hikers only. Along both routes, interpretive signs and benches help visitors explore the biodiversity of the Klamath-Siskiyou Ecoregion, while views of wildflowers and wildlife unfold beside a shaded mix of hardwoods and conifers. The Forest Service lists the trail for year-round use and says it is open only to hikers and pedestrians. There is no drinking water available at the site, so plan to bring what you need. To reach the trailhead, take Waters Creek Road from Highway 199 just south of Wonder, Oregon, and continue approximately 2 miles, just beyond the Forest boundary, to the trailhead and parking area.
