Curated Books for builders, makers, dreamers, do-ers, and curious minds.
Summer Beam Books is an independent bookstore built on the belief that books have the power to shape the way we live. More than a place to buy books, it’s a place to discover new ideas, learn timeless skills, gather in community, and cultivate a deeper appreciation for the world around us.
The staff at Summer Beam Books believes that every book deserves its place. Rather than simply organizing books by category, they thoughtfully curate collections that inspire curiosity, creativity, craftsmanship, stewardship, and the art of living well. Whether you’re restoring an old home, learning to knit, raising adventurous children, exploring the natural world, searching for your next great novel, or simply looking for a quiet afternoon surrounded by good books, they hope you’ll find something here that speaks to you.
The shelves are filled with new, used, rare, and out-of-print books, alongside carefully selected gifts, local artisan goods, puzzles, craft kits, art supplies and other beautiful objects that encourage learning, making, and meaningful living.
