Wonderful museum
Never underestimate small museum. This has excellent collection of everything. During our visit there was great exhibition of American artist Betty LaDuke - for art lovers. But also excellent exhibition on the ground floor - What is it? (I'm not sure if this was the title), it was fun and education put together. Who came with this idea deserve a special congratulation. There were objects with 3 possible replies to the question What is it? and the visitor had to guess and then find the reply under movable cover. My husband and I had great fun going around and trying to find the correct answer but we badly failed, did know only a handful correct replies. I highly recommend visiting this lovely museum.

Enjoyed displays and staff help.
What a wonderful visit to this quiet museum and upstairs art gallery display. The main floor displays were well done, actually timely for today's political climate, and the staff was very knowledgeable and kind. They also gave us the recommendation to eat lunch at The Dizzy Hen. The upstairs exhibition was "Painting Oregon’s Harvest: The Art of Kathy Deggendorfer". Very nice. Mostly quiet, with only a few other individuals browsing through in the 45 minutes that we were there.

Don't turn up your nose at this small town museum and historical society
We stopped in again for a local opening upstairs that featured local artists. It was well attended and well worth the effort to view even thought parking lot was packed. Downstairs has revolving exhibits of all sorts. The building has an elevator and is accessible to all. Their is a wheel chair ramp in the back of the building.

A downtown Philomath gem
A great place to visit and get some historical perspective on the early pioneers of the region. The museum has many different exhibits the roll through the year. It's a smaller venue that most museums - but that is perfectly in line with the small-town feel of Philomath. That the County has this facility is a great privilege for the town. There is a collects warehouse that is chock-full of amazing artifacts, most of which are 100 years and older. It's a rare opportunity to get a tour there - but totally worth it if you get the chance.
