In downtown Yachats, find the historic Little Log Church Museum. Built by community volunteers with local timber hauled down the Yachats River, The Little Log Church was completed and dedicated in 1930. The church and property was sold to the Oregon Historical Society in 1969 when the congregation out grew this site. It became a museum in 1970 and was deeded to the city in 1986. The Little Log Church Museum houses settler exhibits, an extensive shell collection, and works of local artists and authors.

Beautiful, quaint church
My husband and I enjoyed walking through this quaint little church! The volunteers that were there the day we visited were so friendly and told us all about the church and the museum. The church is only open from 12:00- 3:00 pm and is closed on Thursdays. It is definitely worth it to see it if it's open during the time you are there.

The cute log church of Yachats
I had heard about this Little Log Church. Once there, I could say that it was cute! The edifices were painted in dark brown. There were many beautiful flowers at the entrance. The benches were in white as well as the altar. I liked that little log church! Worthwhile to see!

Wonderful experience
My daughter & I held a small memorial for my mother at the Little Log Church. It is a sweet place with the friendliest people managing the space imaginable. The St. Francis Garden outside is lovely and the museum adjacent is small, but altogether fascinating.

historic building
Community built log structure in shape of a cross with historic organ and pews. Worth visiting. A small museum with volunteer host and optional donation.

Historic church with a museum
This is just off Rt 101 and very old and with lots of history. The museum contains a many interesting items and someone to explain them to you. They still hold functions and weddings there but no church services. It is worth the time to visit there and hear the history. We just happened on it and were happy we did. It is free to go inside and view everything. They do have a donation box if you wish to contribute.
