We travel with our Yellow Lab, so stayed in the "old" part of the hotel (old Shilo Inn) and it met our expectations and needs. The view of the beach was outstanding. Every room has a view. Our 2nd floor room was easy to get into with just 4 stairs for our old dog to negotiate. The room was clean and well tended although the bathtub could use a little attention to remove a bit of mold in the grout line and water damage behind the door. The room was very clean and up to date. Keurig machine provided in room, so bring your own Kcups if you're picky. I didn't like the coffee provided but there is a Starbucks just down the street. Fully Non-Smoking Casino (love then non-smoking!) and restaurants are just a short walk across the parking lot. All of the staff here were outstanding, friendly and helpful at all times.
Stayed 2 nights in an Oceanfront Jr. Suite. Very nice room: OCEANFRONT balcony, 2 televisions, Keurig coffeemaker, updated bathroom. Also had a fireplace but we didn’t use it. I think all the Suites are in the A Building and it has an elevator. There is a shuttle that you can call to pick you up for the casino. Very prompt. Good little hike from building A. Casino is smaller sized, slots only. Ate at the oceanfront restaurant 1 night. Food was average. Not a huge selection. Other options in town and grocery stores. No laundry on-site but one close by.
Although the hotel is a little dated, the beds were fine and the staff was excellent. Ope the windows and fall asleep to the sounds of the surf and the Casino is modern withe excellent staff. Food throughout was very good.
Probably the worst odds of all the NW casino, what a waste, wouldn't be surprised if this place was sold or closed in the next 6-12 months. Save you money, play anywhere else. Lucky Eagle or Little Creek are significantly better . I'm not sure, but think these guys are struggling. Take away our benefits, and what else, tighten the machines, and what else, y'all need some new direction and marketing people, they are clueless
3 flights of stairs with no elevator is impossible for handicapped and elderly. No driveway across parking lot to casino from hotel. Having no room balcony detracts from view quality and reduces the ability to experience the ocean ambience.
