we stopped in again while visiting the coast. As always, friendly greeting and great art! Beautiful glass as well as other art, even a fun rocking chair. Michael is always helpful.
My folks used to bring us here growing up and I still make a pitstop here when I'm traveling through. Great people and artwork I can't afford ;)
This is a nice gallery off of Hwy 101. My husband and I stopped here many times on our trips to Cannon Beach and other places along the Oregon Coast. The staff is friendly and we loved looking at the pieces by the different artists, although most are way out of our budget.
We make a point of stopping at art galleries when we travel. This place was great! It has many different artists' work on display. We would not suggest taking kids younger than 10. Wish that we had the $$$ to buy some of the art!
We have purchased 3 wind sculptures from Freed Gallery during the last year, and when we arrived home after all 3 purchases we found that we had been given the wrong parts. Our home is in Florence OR, 1 1/2 hours south of the gallery, and we had to make another trip to the gallery after each purchase to exchange for a new part (correct size of poles or forgotten hole plug). When you pay for beautiful art, you expect the gallery to know the art they are selling, to give you the correct parts. It is very frustrating that Freed Gallery employees are not knowledgeable about the art they are selling!!!
