About The Drexel H. Foundation’s Children’s Crash Course in Filmmaking

The Drexel Crash Course Film event is all about creating a film in 2 hours.

The actors & participants come up with the plots, and dialogue, and then the featured filmmaker helps bring it to life. All you have to do is show up with creativity and register at the door.

There are many ways to be involved, such as an actor, a grip, a camera operator, a sound operator, a lighting operator, or in charge of costumes. You choose. At this FREE event, youth through adults create a movie in 2 hours, using Vale’s local murals, historic buildings, and most importantly a green screen, transporting participants to anywhere desired.

The film created is premiered during the Children’s Film Festival & Film-maker’s Competition, each Sept. The Crash Course Films are also shown in other free events, such as the Halloween movies showing, or the certificate of achievement program.
