Get ready for a day filled with music, pageantry, school spirit, and incredible student performances as the Grants Pass High School Marching Band & Color Guard hosts the 32nd Annual Pride of the Northwest Marching Band Competition.
The annual competition, hosted by the Grants Pass High School Band Boosters, will bring marching bands from Brookings Harbor, Del Norte, Phoenix, Crater, North Valley, Illinois Valley, Douglas, Eagle Point, Roseburg, Century, Liberty and Hillsboro to Grants Pass for a day of high energy performances and friendly competition. Gates open at 10:45 a.m., with preliminary competition beginning at 11:15 a.m. Finals begin at 5:15 p.m.
The event offers a great opportunity to showcase the dedication and talent of student musicians while highlighting the important role community support plays in keeping music programs accessible to students. The competition is one of the largest annual fundraisers for the Grants Pass High School Band Program. But the impact of the program extends well beyond the football field. Through marching band and color guard, students learn the value of teamwork, discipline, commitment, leadership, and perseverance.
Along with the marching band competition, attendees can enjoy a variety of food and refreshments from local vendors throughout the day, including:
-
Casa Amiga
-
Saigon Xich Lo
-
Hangry House
-
541 Fusion
-

Whether you’re a longtime marching band fan, a proud family member, or simply looking for a fun community event, the Pride of the Northwest offers an opportunity to experience the energy and excitement of student performers from across the region.
