I have never been an oyster fan. But the two that I had on my captain’s plate were absolutely delicious! Tender, creamy, mild yet tasty they were the star of the plate for me. Yet everything else was delicious too! The service was friendly and very cooperative, even the two sea gulls who sang for us at our table on the deck. It was a delicious meal if you are hungry for seafood!

Food was only fair. The fish and chips were limp, wet, and soggy. The flavor was ok… but the texture was way off. Shrimp was a small, and flavorless. We have eaten there several times but this trip has changed things.

Yum Yum Yummy!!
Stopped in after running into another family in Bend, OR that recommend Bell Bouy to us. We specifically came to try the whole crab dinner. Never having had a whole crab before we were just a little worried we might not enjoy it, it was DELICIOUS!! Highly recommend.

Salmon fish and chips (with a side of positivity and kindness)
It is easy to find cod or halibut as the "fish" in "fish and chips," and it always feels like a treat when we can find a place that uses salmon and uses it well. Bell Buoy of Seaside did it masterfully (using salmon from the neighboring fish market). An absolutely amazing lunch of fish and chips with salmon, incredible French fries, coleslaw, and a really great tartar sauce as well). As good as the food was, the kind and exceptionally positive customer service made our lunch even more enjoyable. Nicole at the front was warm, inviting, patient, and friendly with everyone who came in, and Javier absolutely knows his way around the kitchen. What a dynamic duo! We are already looking forward to returning to this amazing restaurant in Seaside.

Don't bother
Fish and chips were good, but portions of fish have gotten smaller (but prices going up!) Chowder was different than before. Tasted horrible! Returned it for a refund. Sad, used to be great , now a watery mess. Crab melt was great, but small. Price very high for what you get. Overall, OK food (except the Chowder, which was gross!) Poor value. Have been coming to the coast (and Bell Buoy) for over 20 years. Sad this place has gone down hill.
