Located on the Oregon Coast just off Highway 101, Zola’s on the Water serves up fire oven cooked pizza, delicious breadsticks with any topping and ridiculous wings (they sauce them after cooking them). The menu also includes fresh salads, sandwiches, pasta bowls that are cooked in the fire. If you prefer fish, Zola’s also has fish tacos, fish & chips and catch of the day. Whatever entree you choose, be sure you don’t skip dessert.
Someone needs to explain to cooks that spaghetti is not the same as linguine, mussels are not the same as clams and you cannot use pizza sauce instead of marinara. $28 got you 3 regular size shrimp and 3 mussels. Bottom line is pasta dishes were horrible. On the plus side, the beer is average and our server was nice. Not their fault that the cook can't cook.
Nice, lively dinner stop
We ate at Zolas on spending a few days in Brookings on our way north. Great food, service, and people watching. The restaurant was buzzing around 5 PM, quieted down around 630 when we finished--- it was a Saturday BTW. My wife had a Skinny, Flatbread pizza with cheese, chicken, veggies. I had a Mini pizza, cheese, Canadian bacon, veggies. Both were very good and filling---its a make your own and add on what you want, no penny pinching you for added items. The service was exceptional---every server moved, no delays and spot on. The other dishes we saw looked great as did the desserts. Worth a stop if you are in the area for a casual dinner, family friendly.
Best pizza around
The restaurant was a little busy so we had to wait for a seat but it was worth it. We chose to have a pizza which took a lot longer to get than we were anticipating. Having said tha, it was well worth the wait. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and were very efficient.
Amazing food and staff
I went for dinner with friends. Had several appetizers, drinks and pizza. Food was amazing and the staff even better. Ended up returning because we enjoyed ourselves so much. Highly recommend!!
Great local cuisine.
Very friendly staff on a busy 4th of July evening. Great atmosphere in the harbor area. We enjoyed Alfredo with shrimp and the breaded rock fish and rice. Both were excellently prepared and very tasty. Would recommend highly.
