Dinner and a Piano Concert to Boot!
Dinner and a Piano Concert to Boot! On our road trip throughout CA, OR, and WA to tour several national parks, we spent a night in Coos Bay, en route to Redwood National Park. To our delight, a talented young man treated diners to live piano music while we ate. The boogie woogie tunes added a lot to the enjoyment of our meal. We had reservations, which was a good thing - the restaurant was full, and I got the impression that many of the tables had regulars, not tourists dining there. Friendly service. The food server said they were known for their desserts, so we saved room for a dark, gingerbready cake made with beer. I enjoyed the nibble I tried. My salad with added salmon was very good, and prices were reasonable. Service was on the slow side, but the food server seemed to be keenly aware of that, and she came over a couple of times with estimates that our food would be out in x number of minutes, which was nice. She kept our water glasses full and made sure we were happy, which we were. And frankly, I was pleased by the slow service, because it gave me more time to enjoy the piano player. There's always a silver lining, right? Anyhow, the restaurant had a high ceiling and vaguely nautical decor. I liked the look of the place. Easy street parking. I am very glad we went here.

Delicious innovative food in a really cool but cozy warehouse vibe.
We had a delicious meal! The Feta Dip was swirled with apricot jam and pistachios, served with warm pita and baguette. The watermelon martini was delicious, the passion fruit margarita with chili rimmed salt, so good! I had the quinoa and filet mignon tapa, but it was actually a perfect dinner side. The kids had burgers that were tender and juicy. My husband's salad was so big he should have shared it! Sadly, we were too full for dessert but the cheesecake and trifle looked amazing. Thank you Sandra for a lovely meal!

THE place for dinner in Coos Bay/North Bend
This is THE place for dinner in the Coos Bay/North Bend area. We were visiting from Bend, OR which is very much a foodie town with great restaurants, and have dined & had great meals in many major cities. I can say that Wildflour is as good as any meal I've experienced. Charming, inviting interior, good bar, great service, and good energy. What a gem for such a small town!

Great experience time after time
Food is amazing! Friendly staff. Great atmosphere. My halibut dinner was cooked to perfection . My brother had a rib eye steak dinner. He said it was the best he has had in years. We both ordered a side dish of sautéed mushrooms which was heaven on a plate! They use organic products and local produce. They have vegan deserts and meal options. Their quality has been a home run time after time. Try it and see! Great

Still hoping to be impressed
This was our third visit, to celebrate a birthday at the request of the birthday boy who is enamored of the venue. It would not have been our choice as we had not been impressed on previous visits. The setting is lovely, unusual and charming. Even the restrooms are impressive. Though high ceilinged, the noise in the restaurant is excessive, making conversation difficult. We were seated at the bar while we waited for a drink and had a wonderful, newly invented cocktail that was the best bargain and taste sensation of the evening. Once seated, We began our meal with a tapa of a Greek board which was a schmear of Greek yogurt, sprinkled with pistachios, herbs and pomegranate, accompanied by pita, one of the more expensive choices but hardly worth the cost, especially considering that no real cooking was involved. Three of us had cioppino which was barely room temp and reminiscent of Campbell's soup with a goodly amount of shrimp, clams and a few scallops dumped in, accompanied by a chunk of crusty bread. It was a generous serving but really lacking in much flavor. The pasta with chicken parmesan ordered by our friend was much tastier. We shared a carrot cake which was very dry and a chocolate mousse which was fine. Service was friendly but delivery of dishes was haphazard. The bill, at over $225, was not warranted by the very mediocre meal. For that amount, we expected really delicious, impressive food. Both my husband and I have worked in the food industry and are serious cooks so this was especially disappointing.
