Disappointed
Don't bother. The staff was great. The problem was the food. The salmon had a piece of what was supposed to be crispy pork belly on top. It was pork fat and wasn't crispy. The halibut would have been better off served in garlic butter. The slightly spicy tomato sauce had zero flavor and no spice. The prawns were over cooked. It was the most expensive meal we have ever had and we wished we had gotten a take out fish fry and ate it on the beach for a better view of the haystack.

Seriously, co-workers slandering business in a local Seaside bar!! Not cool!!
Always excellent! Saun is the best!! Don't go into a local bar and air your crappy attitude, Sara!!! Wayfarer is an amazing restaurant, good food, good service! Be proud to work there!!

Medicare food
From the time we sat down and ordered to when we got our drinks and appetizers an hour had passed. We came in at 5pm on a Tuesday so it wasn’t that busy yet. We informed our waiter that we have a pork allergy and everything we order should be free of pork. For appetizers we got “miniature” oysters and a side of green beans. Never seen oysters so small that were served with “signature spicy sauce” that tasted like spicy tomato sauce. For entries we got clam bake, sturgeon, and salmon. The clam bake contained pork sausage, which the waiter didn’t mention at all and was NOT listed as part of ingredients on the menu. It was sent back and redone later but couldn’t really taste anything except for greasy butter and sauce that took 6 times hand washing to remove the grease. Sturgeon arrived completely raw and when sent back they put it back on the grill, after which it came out overcooked. The only good entree was the salmon. Drinks were mostly ice. $250 and 2.5 hours down the drain. The only advantage this restaurant has is that it’s the only place to eat in the area within a 20 minute walk.

Yum!
Our entrees were good, and my beet salad was delicious! Nice place with a helpful staff. We enjoyed our meal.

Breath-taking Views & Excellent Food!
This spot was worth making the reservation long in advance! The views are stunning of Haystack Rock! We had a lovely booth where all 6 of us could see the beach! They had a great kids menu and great steak and seafood on the main menu! Cocktails were also spot on! We will make this a regular tradition when we travel to Cannon Beach!
